"first You Chop the Wood" Was the Original Name of Our Little Bakery. We Wanted Our Customers To Have A Sense of Stepping Back Into Time, To Have an Archeological Experience of Tasting Bread As It Once Must Have Been, Ancestral Breads, Almost Lost Art Breads. But As A Name, It Was A Little Awkward. Since Our Breads, Pasteries and All Our Foods Have Their Roots in the Soil of Our Farm On the West Side of Petaluma, We Thought the Name Della Fattoria—of the Farm—was Fitting Since It Says What We Want To Say...good Food, Slow Food, Food That Honors "place" and the Culture and Culinary Bounty That Surrounds Us. So, We Welcome You To Our Table At the Café To Share in the Foods That Pleasure and Nourish Our Family; And, If You Haven't the Time To Sit With Us, We'll Package Some Up for You To Share Around Your Own Family Table. Throughout the Summer, We Host Family-Style Dinners Under the Wedding Oak At the Ranch. We Serve Breakfast and Lunch Daily At Our Café At 141 Petaluma Boulevard in Petaluma. Café Dinners On Friday Evenings Are A Must. Our Internationally Acclaimed Artisan Breads Are Available in Fine Restaurants and Groceries in Napa and Sonoma Counties and in San Francisco. We Are At the San Francsico Farmers Market (Ferry Building) On Saturdays With Both Breads and Pasteries and At the Marin Farmers Market (Marin Civic Center) On Thursday's.
